My name is Rod Holden and I operate several businesses involved in the Australian Gold Sector.
I decided to set this blog up for people interested in the Australian Gold Sector to come and learn more about this important part of the Australian economy. It’s not just somewhere for people to talk about investing, but also to discuss the industry on an Australian and global front.
About me, I’m:
1. The Managing Director of a private investment company, Gold Report Australia Pty Ltd, specialising in ASX listed gold companies and;
2. The principal of a web-based information system, www.goldreport.com.au, for education and research into the ASX listed gold sector and;
3. The Executive Director of Cala Resources Pty Ltd, Tasmania’s largest private gold exploration and development company
4. The President of the Tasmanian Explorers and Miners Association Inc, a not for profit resource company/investor/media networking association.
So this possibly gives me a small amount of knowledge in the sector to be able to comment.
#### Please note:
Please note:
Due to my workload I will try to attend this blog everyday, but will each Friday at least.
Every post from Gold Report Australia carries the normal disclaimer, is NOT investment advice and opinion only. Please seek professional advice before investing in ANY product.

Q do you have alert emails with your executions on buy and sell orders?
or is your site a more find yourself /user based?

I also miss the email alert function.
Although I would like to check the comments here frequently, it is more likely I’ll forget unless I get reminded.
Some info on how to best buy physical (in Australia) would also be valuable. I see this as an important mix to quality mining shares and ETF/Futures paper gold.

mate, with all due respect, i have just stumbled across your site and read through a large number of your postings. you have made constant predictions that the gold price will appreciate and VERY rarely shown any result. perhaps you have a conflict of interest here? is cala really tasmania’s largest private gold company, you do not have any production, right?

Joe,
If you go through the posts and charts attached you will see that what I’ve said has pretty much been right on the money….look at the following chart and comments. That’s where the results are.
I don’t have a conflict of interest. I run GRA and this blog on the side.
As far as being the largest Tasmania gold company, that was right until Feb this year when the Tasmanian government asset stripped my company, after I identified 10Moz potential…corruption and sovergn risk here is huge….you will hear about this in the main stream media at some point.
